UAE Government Leaders Programme Kicks off the Registration for 3 New Programmes

Dubai - MENA Herald: The UAE Government Leaders Programme (UAE GLP) at the Ministry of Cabinet affairs and the Future has announced the opening of registration process for new batches of Emirati employees in federal and local government entities and private companies through its website: www.uaeglp.gov.ae In an effort to cater to all career levels, the UAEGLP is divided into three sub-programmes: Executive Leadership Programme, Future Leaders Programme, and UAE Youth Programme. The Programme embodies the UAE Government’s efforts to build capacities, strengthen national leadership competencies, and empower national talent in various fields. This, in turn, serves to channel national strengths to support the UAE’s sustainable development and enhance authorities’ efforts to select and train the leaders of the future. The Programme aims to help Emirati employees grow and develop their leadership skills through tailored programmes, designed to suit the specificities of the UAE, as well as its future needs and aspirations. Preparing a Generation of Leaders to Build the Government of Future Yasir Al Naqbi, Assistant Director General for Leadership and Government Capabilities in the Prime Minister’s Office within the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs & the Future, asserted that the UAE Government is committed to develop the country’s human capital as a key component of the plans to build the Government of the Future by promoting Emirati professionals’ skills and expertise, and training a generation of future-ready leaders capable of making strategic and effective decisions to drive achievement, affect positive change, and propel government operations to new heights of excellence. Al Naqbi explained that the training programmes were designed based on the UAE Model for Government Leadership, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, Ruler of Dubai, which is rooted in continuous and sustainable learning, focusing on the leadership traits, tools and skills of the future to keep up with rapid transformations, address pressing challenges, and achieve the objectives of the National Agenda of the UAE Vision 2021. Launched in 2008 under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE Government Leaders Programme seeks to empower the national workforce and improve capacities to address future challenges. The Programme prioritises building government leadership, ensuring the continuous and consistent improvement of the national workforce across various functional levels, and developing promising leaders in federal and local government entities, as well as the private sector, who can spearhead the UAE’s comprehensive sustainable development.
